4th grade is so much fun!
The fun has been earned! They have taken 3 math tests in the last couple of weeks to show what they know about the targets we've covered. One of the tests was done on the computer just like the SBA. Check in with your mathematician and see how it's going. I made a deal with them and on days we have a test there won't be math homework.
We are working on opinion writing and using the information we learned about owls and their superpowers. Authors are choosing an adaptation they think best helps the owl survive in the wild. They must back up their opinion by citing information from 2 of the sources we have looked at. Ask your author which adaptation it's going to be and the sources that will be cited.
Science rocks! We have been learning about the brain, dissecting chicken feet, and we did an investigation to see what yeast likes to eat and are in the process of our write up.
Thank you Mrs. Rhode for planning all those super fun activities for our Halloween bash! It was a blast! Thanks to Mrs. Cassel for the delicious Halloween treats and drinks and Mrs. Stark for the festive plates and napkins.
Descriptive monster writing!
