Happy Friday!

I can't believe it's November 13th already! Conferences begin next week. Please call and make an appointment to meet with me so I can share all the great work your fourth grader has been doing!

In reading we are launching off on new strategies, making inferences and drawing conclusions. We also worked on vocabulary and targeted multiple meaning words.

Way to go Pattyn, Malia, and Parker! On to Cone 3!

Finishing up our opinion writing has taken some time. Many authors are now through the writing process and have printed their work.

In science we've covered the scientific method and did an investigation to find out what yeast likes to eat. To share what we learned we did a scientific write up. Thank you Allison for a job well done!

We wrapped up area and perimeter this week and are now into multiplication. Our target was to show multiplication expressions on a place value chart, when multiplying by 10, 100, and 1,000. Another strategy we used was to simplify expressions to solve those types of problems. The work is coming home daily to support them with their homework if needed.

This month we are helping serve lunch!
