I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I'm so thankful to be a Prairie View teacher. Working with your children is truly a blessing. They fill my days with joy!

Math: We've been working on double digit multiplication with numbers that are multiples of 10 to get us started. Strategies we've practiced are using disks and the place value chart as well as an area model. This week's one to answer: 40 x 20.

Reading/Social Studies: Our reading has been centered around learning about the state of Washington. Have your fourth grader share what they know about the world, our country, and our state as we are just beginning to look at the five regions of Washington.

                                                              Congratulations readers!

Writing: Using editing symbols was the last bit of work done on our opinion pieces. Your author can show you the piece on Google Classroom. A final printed copy will go in their keepsake journal after it goes through one more editing session with Mr. Taylor.
