Check out the plans for our 4th grade holiday party!

Love it when they come all dressed up! The show was amazing!

Rehearsal

Readers are rockin it right now and reaping the sweet rewards!

Math: Recently, we wrapped up working on multiplication and assessed our knowledge. Standards we've covered are using area and perimeter in real world mathematical problems, learning how to multiply a single digit number by a whole number up to the thousands place using a variety of strategies, and solving word problems that led us to discern which operation was needed to find the answer. Mathematicians evaluated their understanding of each standard and gave themselves a 1, 2, 3, or 4 based on how they did on the assessment and their daily work.  Your mathematician can tell you about their decisions. This week's one to answer: 4,327 x 9 = ______.

Reading/Writing: Ask your reader what they know about snow. You should get a lot of information. Much of what was learned is being put into an informational piece of writing.  Have your writer tell you about their work.

Social Studies: Washington is a great state to live in! Fourth graders are learning about the 5 regions. Be sure to find out what they know.
