Happy Holidays!

What a fun day we had together! The White Elephant gift exchange was a blast! There was quite a bit of "stealing" going on. Thank you so much for making it possible! After that we played Bunco.  Here are some pics of our holiday celebration.

A great big THANK YOU for all the special gifts I received. I'm so blessed to be a Prairie View teacher. Being part of this amazing community is a gift!

Congratulations to Tristan, Isaac, and Brooklin! Way to go readers!

What a busy week!

So much to do at this time of year! I hope you got the information about our gift exchange. Please send in a wrapped gift any fourth grader would enjoy and don't spend more than $5. We will be doing a White Elephant gift exchange on Friday. Thank you so much!

Math: We have been working on solving word problems with factors to the hundreds and thousands place multiplied by a single digit.  Of course, they are multi-step problems as well.

The Winter Extravaganza was a big hit!

Reading: We read "Snowflake Bentley" and "Let It Snow" together. We practiced drawing conclusions and summarizing. Have your reader tell you about both.

Every day we are practicing reading fluently with a friend.

Art: Candy cane art with Mrs. Child was lots of fun! Ask your artist to tell you about perspective in their work and about value when looking at color.
